Adelaide Central Market is a must for all your Christmas goodies

Writer's picture: JulieJulie

And it's great to see Adelaide's iconic giant Father Christmas, which once graced the David Jones building in Rundle Mall every year, (and previously the old John Martins store). The giant Father Christmas is back at the Adelaide Central Market after being given a new lease of life. Adelaide Central Market Opened in 1869, this gourmet haunt has 80+ vendors selling organic fruit, premium meats & more. So plenty of wonderful things to buy for those christmas celebrations with family and friends.

The Adelaide Central Market is a must see for South Australians and visitors to this State any time of the year. So many different stalls and interesting fresh produce to enjoy.

There is also a free bus supported by the City of Adelaide for guests who stay in one of Adelaide Style Accommodation spacious North Adelaide homes, which will take you to the market for FREE.

Thanks to media personality South Aussie with Cosi and the South Australian community and businesses who contributed to the fundraising efforts. The giant Father Christmas statue was destined for landfill but has been repaired and rejuvenated just in time for the 2022 Christmas season.
