🌟 Exciting Days at the 2024 SA Tourism Conference! 🌟

Day 1 Highlights: Tuesday kicked off the SA Tourism Conference 2024 with a focus on networking, learning, and inspiration. The day featured insightful workshops, vibrant discussions, and presentations, setting the tone for an engaging conference. Special thanks to principal partners and sponsors for making this event possible. The day was opened by TICSA CEO Shaun de Bruyn, followed by exceptional food and great company. Filming captured the dynamic atmosphere as industry professionals from across the state connected and shared ideas.


📅 Evening Event - Hello SA Top Tourism Town Awards: Tuesday evening at Molly's at the Colley Hotel, Glenelg, celebrated the best in SA tourism. Congratulations to our winners:


  • 🏆 Top Tourism Town: Victor Harbor

  • 🏆 Small Tourism Town: Coober Pedy

  • 🏆 Tiny Tourism Town & People's Choice Award: Burra, South Australia


Special thanks to TICSA Chair Siggi Frede for opening the event and to sponsors for their invaluable support. The Mayor of City of Holdfast Bay shared exciting plans for Glenelg, adding to the evening's highlights. Thank you to Molly's at the Colley Hotel for hosting this fantastic event.


Day 2 Highlights: Wednesday began with Stacey Lee from FIVEaa as MC and an inspiring address by Hon. Zoe Bettison MP, SA Minister for Tourism. The day featured engaging talks by speakers like Tim Jarvis on environmental responsibility, alongside discussions on IT, tourism, and economic trends. Breakout sessions under the themes Evolve, Engage, Excel provided practical advice and innovative ideas for the future of tourism.


Trade stalls from businesses like Adelady, National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia, SALIFE Magazine, and more were a highlight. Local businesses Kytons Bakery and Golden North Ice Cream provided delightful treats. Stacey Lee's live broadcast on FIVEaa included interviews with Shaun de Bruyn and Tim Jarvis, bringing live insights to the radio audience.


This conference has been truly inspiring, with connections made, collaborations formed, and valuable knowledge shared. We look forward to implementing these learnings to create memorable and lasting positive experiences for our customers.
