šŸŒ³ History Friday: The Brewery TreeĀ šŸŒ³

Happy New Year! šŸŽ‰ As we step into January, we thought it would be the perfect time to combine our love for history and the environment by sharing the story of a true natural marvel in Melrose, South Flinders Ranges.

Say hello to the Brewery TreeĀ ā€“ a majestic River Red Gum estimated to be over 300 years oldĀ with an incredible circumference of 9.29m PLUS! This iconic tree is not just a natural wonder but a historical treasure, standing tall in the middle of the road near the former Jacka Brothers Brewery, once owned by Geoff Slee and his wife, long-time residents and farmers in the Melrose district. šŸŒæ (check out our FB & instagram for more photos & follow us online)

See the Brewery Tree in its glory from the early 1900s, and compare it to today, where its size and presence remain awe-inspiring. You'll even spot me in the photo for scale ā€“ itā€™s truly enormous! (check out our FB & instagram for more photos & follow us online)

šŸ’” Planning your next adventure? Why not make it a weekend getaway? Stay at our charming Country Style - LouisaĀ home in Gawler, just 2.5 hours from Melrose. It's the perfect base to explore the beauty and history of South Australia, with all the comforts of home! šŸ”

If youā€™re passionate about the environment or a history lover, share this post and help us celebrate this incredible piece of South Australian heritage. Weā€™d love to welcome you on your journey! šŸ’š
